“Forever is composed of nows.”
Whatever could have been or should have been, doesn’t matter. This moment is here and now for you to live.
Living in the moment is all about living like there’s no tomorrow. To do this, you must realise beauty in every moment, and in everyday activities. It’s a conscious act that requires participation, not just observation, but the reward is a richer, fuller life.
To live in the moment, to “dance like nobody’s watching,” you have to forget about performing for others and simply accept the moment for what it is.
When you walk down the street, look at the way the light reflects off the buildings, the tree line, and the birds that manage to nest in random corners and cracks.
Even if you are just walking, or wiping the counter, or sorting through papers – how does it feel? There is probably some kind of commentary spinning through your mind, and it probably has to do with something other than what you are doing.
Smile when you wake up. You can set the tone of appreciation and awareness for the next 24 hours by simply waking up and smiling.
‘My philosophy is that not only are you responsible for your life, but doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment.’
