When we are trying to make changes in our life, there are two core steps that are simple to understand but can be powerful effect. These are change the way we think and change the way we act.
No matter what books we read about self-improvement or what religious, or spiritual path we may follow, these are the two themes behind all mental and physical self-improvement.
I know that life can be hard. Sometime you may feel like you do not have the energy to do these things; to check the way you think and act, or to actively participate in removing obstacles or adopting new habits. It does not take much to nudge your life in a better direction – just a little something to push you out of your rut or comfort zone.
Start by choosing one thing that does not work for you in your life now and change it. Replace your old and worn-out way of thinking with a new, healthier idea or belief. Keeping that new idea on your mind constantly, you will make changes. Practice it until it becomes part of you.
Make some small, positive changes in your life. Eating a little healthier, exercising more and creating some small productive habits – is an amazing way to get excited about life.
