Gaining Inner Peace

“We don’t realize that, somewhere within us all, there does exist a supreme self who is eternally at peace.”
Elizabeth Gilbert

Do you want to achieve the calmness and serenity that comes with inner peace? Finding inner peace is a process. Start by trying to let go of the stresses and strains of daily life and make time to just be.

This develops over time. Fluctuations occur throughout the day. Quieten your mind. Sit quietly to free and empty your mind of thought. Find a comfortable space to unwind, relax or snooze.

Keep everything simple. Try not to do everything at once. Think only of what is at hand. Think less about the past or future. Today is different from the past. Remember to experience the current moment.

Be open to experience. Let go of bias and expectation. Take time to do the things that make you happy.

You are who you are. Take pride in your individuality. Find contentment in where you are, who you are and what you are doing. Contentment matters most, if you are contented, then, everything falls into place.

“Each one has to find his peace from within. And peace to be real must be unaffected by outside circumstances.”
Mahatma Gandhi
