Feeling stressed…..needing to regain balance in your day?
When you accept responsibility for the role you play in creating or managing stress in your day, you take control.
Here are some ways I use to remain calm in difficult moments;
Think calm thoughts, picture calm scenes, recall calm sounds. Picture yourself on an idyllic South Pacific island. See yourself on the sun bleached sands. Note what you are wearing, the relaxed way you are standing, feel of the warm breeze blowing over your face.
Massage your eye brows. We do this subconsciously when under pressure. Work the relaxing acupressure points around the forehead by massaging your eyebrows in an upwards direction.
Stockpile beautiful moments. Keep a photo, keep a record on your computer. Recall the moment, reflect on it, taking pleasure from it.
Rest your fingers. Gently rest your thumb and fingertips of one hand against the corresponding thumb and fingertips of the other. Just the lightest touch. Breath slowly for 60 seconds and allow the calm to over take you.
