Something New

”Everyone has a ‘risk muscle.’ You keep it in shape by trying new things. If you don’t, it atrophies. Make a point of using it at least once a day.”
Roger Von Oech

In every situation you have ever been in, positive or negative, the one common thread is you. It is your responsibility, and yours alone, to recognise that regardless of what has happened up to this point in your life, you are capable of making choices to change your situation, or to change the way you think about it.

What you are capable of achieving depends entirely on what you choose to do with your time and energy.

Some us are more prone than others to get stuck in the comfort of routine and familiarity. Regardless of your inhibitions or fears of change, humans need variety to stay interested. Start to look to make changes on a daily basis.

Do it for the possibility that if you make one minor change you may set the stage for major fulfillment. Sometimes even the smallest shift in thinking or doing can create the biggest opportunity

Try to do something you have never done daily. Go to a cafe you have never been to, talk to a new person, eat something new, is a easy way to start. You never know when you will discover something or somebody who will end up making a life changing impact on you.

Learn something new each day – keep your eyes and most of all your mind open. Only you can change your life. Do not wait for the perfect moment, decide now is the time to pave your own road and try something new.

“Life isn’t about the final destination or the accomplishments and accolades; it’s about the journey and the opportunities for learning—and how we grow as a result.”
Michael Eisen
