‘To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself. ‘
Thich Nhat Hanh
Remind yourself from time to time that you are good enough. This might seem overly simplistic, but telling yourself, ‘I am enough’ each time you begin to doubt yourself is vital. Sometimes the hardest part is simply believing you are capable of doing it.
When we accept our flaws, admit our mistakes, with no need to hide lies, we can deal with our truth and grow stronger from it.
The mistakes we make along the way need not stop us, but the denial and cover-up will. Flawed people are beautiful, likable and teachable. ‘Fakes’ and ‘phonies’ are not.
You are uniquely you. Remember to listen to your own inner voice. Keep your wishes and your biggest goals alive and dedicate time to them. Never be afraid to embrace them and walk alone if necessary .
Be strong enough not to let anyone’s ignorance, drama or negativity derail you from your truth, and from loving who you are. You are enough just as you are. And self love will be a little bit easier every time you remind yourself of that.
“You are imperfect, permanently and inevitably flawed. And you are beautiful.”
