Moving Forwards In Life

‘Dwelling on the past only blinds you to the future’.
Andrew Boyd

I can find myself looking back at my life, but I do not want to live in the past.

We can spend minutes, hours, days, weeks, or even months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could have, would have happened. We can visit “pity city” for a short time, but after a while we have to leave it all behind and walk on.

We can begin by identifying what our major life goals are. To have direction in our life we need to know what that direction is. Try to be clear where you are going in the major areas of your life, such as work, personal life, etc. Ideally you want one goal in each life area.

We will never leave where we are until we decide where we would rather be. It is all about finding and pursuing our passion. When we are passionate, we are energized. Likewise, when we lack passion, our energy is low and unproductive. Making a decision to work out what you want, and then pursue it passionately is the way move forward.

You can decide how  you want your life to be. Every day is a new chance to choose. Choose to change your perspective. Strengthen your self belief and stop loosing sleep over insecurity and doubt. Choose to truly live. Choose to move your life forward in a way that you are proud of.

“Rehashing the past wouldn’t change anything. Time to move forward.”
