“It isn’t what you have or who you are or where you are or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about it.”
Dale Carnegie
Usually, when I ask someone ‘How are you?’ they reply, ‘I’m fine’ or ‘I’m okay.’ But a few weeks ago a friend of mine replied, ‘Oh, I am fabulous.’ It made me smile, so I asked them what was making them feel so fabulous and they said, ‘I’m healthy, my family is healthy, and we live in a free country. So I have no reasons to complain.’
The difference is simply in their attitude and their choice of words. They are not necessarily any better off than anyone else, but they seem much happier. Try to spend the next week using words that encourage a smile.
One of the most important steps we can take toward achieving our greatest potential in life is to learn to monitor our attitude and its impact on our work performance, relationships and everyone around us.
Life is very precious. It can be fragile, yet resilient. That is how life is…. It is beautiful…. How rain can make a rainbow. How a smile can change your day. You have a chance to live it. Dream it. Dream Big… Live it to the full.
Commit the next for the next week, wholeheartedly, to try to live life for what it is – a beautiful gift.
“Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.”
