“A ship is always safe at the shore – but that is NOT what it is built for.”
Albert Einstein

We have all seen this statement on a plaque or a poster some where. What a great reminder it is that safety, security and survival are not meaningful goals.

If we are going to get anywhere, we are going to have to risk venturing into the unknown.

There come times in everyone’s life when you are faced with a choice that involves risk. Risk is, by nature, scary. It is uncertain and unpredictable. You are heading off into uncharted territory.

But risk gives you an opportunity to open up to your talents, interests, abilities and dreams. Life is about adventure, not maintenance.

“If you dare nothing, then when the day is over, nothing is all you will have gained.”
Neil Gaiman,
