‘Earn the right to be proud and confident.‘
The Oxford dictionary’s definition of proud is ‘feeling deep pleasure or satisfaction as a result of one’s own achievements, qualities, or possessions or those of someone with whom one is closely associated’
Those of us who are proud of ourselves tend to have passions in life, feel content and set good examples for others. It requires envisioning the person you would like to become and making your best efforts to grow.
Being proud is not bragging about how great you are; it is more like quietly knowing that you are worth a lot. It is not about thinking you are perfect – because nobody is – but knowing that you are worthy of being loved and accepted.
What are you proud of?
It need not be anything big. It could be an achievement, identity, a person, personal collection, belonging, uniqueness, experience you have had, creation, action you took ….
Being your true authentic self is so often not acknowledged, but when you are promoting individuality you are saying ‘I am proud‘ of being myself. Be proud, be confident, you never know who has been looking at you wishing they were you.
“Good for you and be proud of yourself because you have your priorities in order. Be proud of yourself if you are responsible, reliable, persistent, and take your job and education seriously.”
