“The quality of life is determined by its activities.”
Aristotle

.
Underlying most goals is our assumption that working towards a goal will improve quality of life, for ourselves and those we care about. With each of our long term goals comes many choices and decisions, including what to try and how much effort to put in. By assessing your current quality of life, you can focus on the gaps and opportunities you have to make some improvements.

.
Whatever your definition of ‘the good life‘ may be, it is vital that you enjoy and get meaning from the day-to-day while on your journey. Our daily experiences, our tasks, our schedule, the places we spend our energy and time, are what make up our life.

.
When we are clear on what is important to us, there comes an incredible sense of freedom. We no longer live in a world of social comparison. We are running our own race. Goals and big decisions are achievable and invigorating because we have a clear picture of what we want our life to stand for. Clarity does not come easily, it evolves throughout our life, which requires being flexible.

.
Contrary to popular belief, we do not have to make drastic changes in order to notice an improvement in the quality of our life. At the same time, we do not need to wait a long time in order to see the measurable results that come from taking positive action. All you have to do is take small steps, and take them consistently. Spend some quality time identifying on your priorities in life today.

.
“You are essentially who you create yourself to be and all that occurs in your life is the result of your own making.”
Stephen Richards
