How You Look At It

“Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.”
Wayne W. Dyer

Our quality of life depends largely of how we look at our everyday actions. Do you find that your expectations are stressing you out?

When we drop the needless expectations and begin to appreciate ‘what is’ for a moment, life improves. It does not matter if your glass is half empty or half full. Just be thankful that you have a glass and that there is something in it. Choosing to be positive and having an appreciative attitude influences everything we do. The magnitude of our happiness and success will be directly proportional to the magnitude of our thoughts and how we choose to think about things.

Nothing ever works out exactly the way you want it to. Hope for the best, but appreciate reality, do not fight it. Do not let what you expected to happen blind you from the goodness happening all around. Even if it does not work out at all, it is still worth it if it made you feel something new, and if it taught you something new.

Our life is composed of events and states of mind. How we appraise our life from our deathbed will be predicated not only on what came to us in life but how we lived with it. It will not be simply illness or health, riches or poverty, good luck or bad, which ultimately define whether we believe we have had a good life or not, but the quality of our relationship to these situations: the attitudes of our states of mind.”
