”What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. ”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

.
So often people feel dissatisfied because they do not feel appreciated by others. But if our happiness depends on the encouragement of others, we may at times find ourselves being needlessly discouraged.

.
The solution is to encourage your self. There are many ways to do that:

.
Be proud of yourself….whether it is because of a small accomplishment or just living life in general, you need to believe in yourself. If your self esteem is low. do some research on the subject, looking to improve it. Importantly, you need to like your self.

.
Try to be your own ‘best friend‘. Talk to yourself like you would to a friend who needed motivation. Saying things like ‘I know it’s tough but you can do it,‘ or, ‘By this time tomorrow, it will be all done.’

.
Exercise! Just 15, 30 minutes a day will raise your metabolism, which in turn improves your mood. Eat good food… adding fresh foods and whole grain foods to your diet will change the way you feel, increasing your energy levels.

.
Remember to play music… whatever kind of music lifts your spirits, play that for yourself. You can keep a radio on so that you can hear it in the background wherever you are.

.

Self encouragement can work wonders for you in moments or days when you need a little extra push! Encourage yourself today.

.
“You are essentially who you create yourself to be and all that occurs in your life is the result of your own making.”
Stephen Richards
