I believe we all possess an inner strength that we can draw upon in difficult times. A mental strength that enables us to manage our emotions, adjust our thinking, and choose to take positive action, despite our circumstances. It is knowing deep down that every little struggle is progress.

Being willing to walk this path of resistance is what mental strength is all about. Mentally strong people see the obstacles as necessary stepping-stones. Keep going, keep growing, and looking back you will say: ‘It did not go exactly to plan, and that is OK’.

If we really want it we will do it, despite the obstacles, failure and rejection. Each step forward may be tough, but it is empowering, being better than anything else we could imagine. I love the words of Amit Ray, ‘‘You are your master. Only you have the master keys to open the inner locks,” ….in times of need, you find the key.

It is important to remember that you have enough, and you are enough. Stay strong. Think clearly. Even when it feels like things are falling apart, you are learning necessary lessons. When life gets tough, dig deep and find that inner strength, you are stronger than you know.
