The Questions You Ask

“Judge a man by his questions rather than by his answers.”

Many of the biggest misunderstandings in life could be avoided if we would simply take the time to ask, “What else could this mean?”

Very few of us actively seek new knowledge on a daily basis. We get comfortable with what we know, and we stop questioning things. So instead, we find the ‘answers’ from within our own minds – judgments, justifications, validations, views, opinions. To really ask something new is to open the door to new discovery.

Remember, an expert is not a person who gives all the right answers; they are the ones who asks the right questions. I believe courage does not happen when we have all the answers. It happens when we are ready to face the questions we have been avoiding in our life.

Regardless of how much you may think you know, or how many incredible questions you have asked, realistically you can never know it all. To believe that you do, is proof of the contrary. Life will always be filled with unanswered questions, but it is the courage to seek the answers that counts -a journey that improves your life.

Ask yourself today some questions that matter to you.

“At the end of the day, the questions we ask of ourselves determine the type of people that we will become.”
