True To Yourself

“A lot of the conflict you have in your life exists simply because you’re not living in alignment; you’re not be being true to yourself.”
Steve Maraboli

An amazing thing happens when we are honest with y our self and start doing what we love, what makes us happy.

Start by setting some time aside for yourself. Get up earlier than your family, or find a quiet space where you can sit and think. Some people think better while doing some other simple task (such as laundry) or while walking.

When you start being true to yourself, you stop wishing for the weekend, you stop only looking forward to special events. You begin to live in each moment  and you start feeling alive. You become more contented and joyful. A veil is lifted, and a new perspective is born.

Take a closer look at what it is you need to do to be true to yourself today.

“If you trade your authenticity for safety, you may experience the following: anxiety, depression, eating disorders, addiction, rage, blame, resentment, and inexplicable grief.”
Brené Brown
