Everyday Miracles

“What we do see depends mainly on what we look for. … In the same field the farmer will notice the crop, the geologists the fossils, botanists the flowers, artists the colouring, sportmen the cover for the game. Though we may all look at the same things, it does not all follow that we should see them.”
John Lubbock

Everyday, there are miracles occurring all around you. The earth spins in the balance in the Universe, The complexity of the human body. The petals of a rosebud opening.

I have experienced a shift in my appreciation since I made the decision to view life as a gift. In a way, it is a matter of perspective. You make a choice, by making the decision to experience joy even in the simplest things. You are able to breathe into the moment and enjoy the fullness in the here and now.

The life we experience will largely depend on what we notice and focus on. Whether good or bad, it is down to you.

Create an environment that is up lifting. This can mean anything from fresh flowers in a jug, inspiring artwork on the wall. Surround yourself with things that inspire you to live your life in a positive way..

Decide to make the most out of what you are have, to look for and embrace the small miracles in your every day life. Open your eyes to the beauty and wonders around you today…….

“Miracles don’t happen. You make them happen. They’re not wishes or dreams or candles on a cake. They’re not impossible. Reality is real. It’s totally and completely under my control.”
Julie Anne Peters

    1. I have read many self help books over the years. I like very much The power of positive thinking – Dr Norman Vincent Peale. There is also The success principals – Jack Canfield.

Most self help books share nuggets of advice: change is most lasting when it is built on small positive habits.

Find tweaks you can make each day and you will be on your way to building practices that make for a happier, more productive tomorrow.!! Julia
