It’s Up To You

“There is no easy way out of our circumstances…Sometimes you stick it out even when you want to give up because you know that on the other side is either a better situation or a better you.”
Krissi Dallas

Whether you are fed up with what you are doing now or you really want to improve a mediocre existence, you can make a decision to change now so that you can enjoy a better, more rewarding life.

Sometimes, you just need to act first and reflect later instead of continuing to pile up dreams without doing anything more about them. Changing your life around is a journey.

What is working well in my life right now? It is important to be aware of what you like as much as you are aware of what you do not like so that you do not end up changing the positives in your life. What parts of your life that are making you really unhappy.

Break your list down into small, actionable steps. Maybe you dislike your job and want to move on, work out what steps that you need to take to get started. Transform general statements into something actionable and specific …..Such as visit a career coach; or take an aptitude test.or speak to the recruitment agencies to see what jobs are available to you with your skill set and experience.

It is not what time of day or day of the week or month of the year it is. Scheduling your changes for later will only serve as an excuse not to make them.

Sometimes, we need to think long and hard about making big leaps such as a career change or a moving to a new place. At other times, too much ruminating turns into an excuse to not ever do what we are longing to do.

Put yourself in the mindset to get started. It might be an approach that sets you free. Decide to make the most of today and begin……..Remember, it’s up to you.

“Stop believing the false hope that “if it’s meant to be” it will happen. If that were true, everyone would be content, wealthy, fit and have great relationships.
You must plan, act, persevere, make better choices, know your value and never, ever accept less than you truly deserve. It’s not up to chance, it’s up to you.”
