Life’s Lessons

“People never learn anything by being told, they have to find out for themselves.”
Paulo Coelho

.
Life is the best teacher. When good things happened in my life, I would like to think it teaches me to be grateful. From bad things, I have  learnt I need to be a stronger person.

.
Behind every person there is a story, Try to think before you judge, because judging someone does not label who they are, it labels who you are. Nobody really knows how much anyone else is hurting. You could be standing next to someone who is completely broken and you would never know.

.
As time goes on we gain more understanding, what lasts, what does not. I have come  to understand that time and work can solve many things. But somethings you just have to let go and move on.

.
I believe people get lost when they think of happiness as a destination. We are always thinking that someday we will be happy. Believing that when we get that new car or that job or that person in our lives, it fixes everything. But happiness comes from your own actions, it is an attitude, not a destination. It is like being tired or hungry; it is fleeting, it comes and it goes, and that is okay. I believe if people thought of it this way, they would feel happiness a lot more often.

.
Decide to be happy today. It all depends what you focus on…look at things you are grateful for – think of 10 things that make your life better. And remember, it is not what you have, or where you are that makes you happy or unhappy….. it is what you think about.

.
”Don’t rely on someone else for your happiness and self-worth. Only you can be responsible for that. If you can’t love and respect yourself – no one else will be able to make that happen. Accept who you are – completely; the good and the bad – and make changes as YOU see fit – not because you think someone else wants you to be different.”
