On Auto Pilot

“It’s a hard thing to leave any deeply routine life, even if you hate it.”
John Steinbeck

If you have fallen into a routine that does not vary much from day to day, you may have accidentally turned your life on auto pilot. Do you find yourself getting up in the morning, snatching a quick breakfast, rushing to work, coming home exhausted, eating dinner in front of the television and promptly falling into bed? Too many of us repeat the same things Monday to Friday without ever being fully conscious of what we are doing.

Do you live your life on auto pilot for the most part?

It is very easy to dismiss the idea of being on auto pilot for a large portion of your life. But if we do not consciously create our desired outcome for a prosperous, successful, and happy life, then we are not living up to our full potential.

The question you need to ask is whether you would  be satisfied with the decisions you have made in life if nothing changed in the next 10, 20, or 30 years. No doubt your life will be different in 30 years – but will it be from you taking control or because life just evolved, as it does and you coasted along on auto pilot?

You can step out of your comfort zone by taking small steps at home or big leaps abroad. Most importantly take back the reins to create the life you have always dreamed about.

Start of small  by de-cluttering…..move 20 things in your home to spark new ideas, behaviours and actions. Decide to do it today.

”A man practices the art of adventure when he breaks the chain of routine and renews his life through reading new books, traveling to new places, making new friends, taking up new hobbies and adopting new viewpoints.”
Wilfred Peterso
