The Key To Success

.
“When you doubt your power, you give power to your doubt.”
Honore de Balzac

.
Self belief is vital. How many things have you not done or tried because you lacked belief in yourself? Self doubt can easily creep up, do you hear yourself thinking ‘Can I really do this?’ ‘Other people are better, smarter, more worthy than me.’?

.
Believing in yourself is one of the first steps to success. Start by setting goals for yourself. When you set goals, you have control. By recognizing when you have achieved the goal, you will increase your confidence.

.
Use realistic expectations to judge your success…… Do not expect to run a marathon until you have trained and conditioned yourself to run 26 miles. You can monitor your success by looking at the gap between where you are and where you want to be. This perspective helps you gauge what remains to be done. You can also judge by looking at the progress you have made from 2 months ago. This helps you know how far you have come.

.
Self doubt never completely disappears, over time, we just get better at dealing with it.It will greet you every time you step out of your comfort zone and whenever you strive to go up a gear.

Stop making excuses.…excuses are mental barriers we erect that hold us back. Self awareness is one of the most powerful personal development tools in our arsenal. Make use of it by understanding the root causes of your self-doubt. What specific situations trigger bouts of self doubt?

.

Focus on your  dreams, goals and aspirations and remember, you never know how right they truly are until you put them into action.  Believe in yourself enough to begin today.

.
“Don’t wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles, and less than perfect conditions. So what? Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident, and more and more successful.” –
Mark Victor Hansen
