Sometimes we find our self doing things and we have no idea why. Why did you loose your temper with your  child? Why do you choose to stay with your current job instead of taking a more fulfilling one?

Understanding our self is about reaching enlightenment, for when we begin to fully understand who we are. We can then understand the bigger picture. Not only are we seeing our self clearly, but we also understand the world around in a new way because of the clarity we possess. With a deeper connection to our self, there also comes a connection to what is real.

Fundamentally, our presence in the world as our true self becomes valid, for we are no longer drifting along without understanding our self. Instead, we find a new understanding, we are able to move forward, with nothing holding us back.

When you live from within, you are not only fully engaged with what is real, but you are also in-tune with your desires, their meanings, your actions, and all the parts of yourself that may have been aimless, unknown, and without understanding.

Try answering the following questions to get a clearer insight into you:

How would you describe yourself in one sentence?

What is your purpose in your life’s story?

What is the most important thing that has ever happened to you? How did it change you?

How are you different than the people around you?

Choose to open yourself up to reflection. Begin by thinking about parts of yourself that you really do not like and admit to some things you might not want to admit to. Take the time to define your likes and dislikes, and do not put it up for a vote among family and friends. You decide

Getting to know yourself allows you to tap into the well of happiness beyond your imagination. Bliss even on cloudy days.
