More Satisfied

“Our dissatisfactions may be the result of failing to look properly at our lives rather than the result of anything inherently deficient about them.”
Alain De Botton

I know how it feels when you find that you are not satisfied with all of your life aspects. When we experiences a feeling of dissatisfaction with our life it so often triggers hundreds of other negative thoughts that further reinforces their dissatisfaction.

When you look at it closely you see that this is about stuff. Not just material stuff, but all sorts of stuff – intellectual, emotional, social, etc. – all of our human stuff. When we collect some stuff, we, quite naturally want more stuff. It is this desire for more that traps us in our own dissatisfaction, because we are always grasping for that more-ness.

The feeling of dissatisfaction may not be as bad it seems and it can actually be a great opportunity for change. If we channel our feelings correctly we can end up with major changes in our life that will can make us more happy.

Dissatisfaction is a tremendous amount of energy as it is a great source of negative motivation. All what you need to do now is to direct more positively.

Write down all of the things that are making you dissatisfied with your life. Try not to exaggerate your problems because when we tend to think negatively we struggle to see things in a positive way. Now set yourself a list of realistic and achievable goals to bring about changes to improve in your life.

Decide now, this moment, is the start of a major change in your life…… Make a commitment to yourself today that you will do your best to make the changes that will lead you to a better, more rewarding life.

“A year from now you will wish you had started today.”
Karen Lamb
