So often we find ourselves looking at our lives with regret . Yet rather than dwelling on what could be better or what you feel you should be doing, why not pay attention to the areas of your life which are already going well? So you can we deliberately enhance the impact of good things in your life.

Pause for a moment and consciously be aware of things you want to remember later, the sound of a loved one’s laughter, or a touching moment between friends.

In one study, people who took a 20 minute walk each day for a week and consciously looked for good things reported feeling happier than those who were instructed to look for bad things.

People who openly express their good feelings tend to feel better, because it provides the mind with evidence that something positive has occurred. Experiments have found that people who expressed their feelings while watching a funny movie enjoyed themselves more than those who suppressed their feelings.

After a bad day, try not to focus on the negative things that have occurred during the day, but to savour the positive aspects of each situation……you will find yourself happier at the end of the day. Commit to seeing how good things really are today.
