Gaining Wisdom

“Wisdom is a good purchase, though we pay dearly for it.”
Dutch Proverb

Character and wisdom are developed over time. They come with loss, lessons, and triumphs. They come after doubts, following gut reaction, and exploring unknowns. The seeds of our progress are planted in our past failures. Our best stories will come from overcoming our greatest struggles. Our rewards will be birthed from our pains. We need to keep trying, keep learning, and keep living.

Life is not always easy. If we expect it to be, we will perpetually disappoint ourselves. Achieving anything worthwhile in life takes time and effort. Persistence is the single most common characteristic of high achievers. They simply refuse to give up. The longer we hang in there, the greater the chance that something will happen in our favour.

Remember that some of the best gifts money can not buy. Promise yourself to stay true to your passion and your values. Let your heart and mind work together.

It is difficult to gain wisdom when you stay in and do the same thing day after day. You get wiser when you put yourself out there and give yourself the opportunity to learn, make mistakes and reflect on the experience. Push yourself outside your comfort zone today

“Wisdom is not a product of schooling but of the lifelong attempt to acquire it.”
Albert Einstein
