Tuning Into Intuition

“I rely far more on gut instinct than researching huge amounts of statistics.”
Richard Branson
Intuition is ‘knowing’ something without being able to explain how you came to that conclusion rationally. It is that mysterious ‘gut feeling’ or ‘instinct’ that often turns out to be right, in retrospect.
We think of intuition as a magical phenomenon – but hunches are formed out of our past experiences  and knowledge -. So while relying on gut feelings does not always lead to good decisions, it is not nearly as flighty a tactic as it may sound.
Intuition is basically how you quickly tap into your subconscious mind, which is where you “archive” all kinds of information that you don’t remember on a conscious level. Sometimes you pick up on things subconsciously without realising it, such as body language. It will register as a certain ‘feeling ‘ that you can not articulate at that moment, but it could very well be valid.
Listen to your gut. There is a reason it is called a’gut feeling‘. Many times, a decision that you ‘know’ is wrong makes you feel tightening in your abdomen.
Trusting your intuition is trusting your true self, and the more you trust your true self, the more control you have of making your goals and dreams come true.
Pay attention to what it shows you today….. More often than you realise, you have the answers you need already inside you.
“Our bodies have five senses: touch, smell, taste, sight, hearing. But not to be overlooked are the senses of our souls: intuition, peace, foresight, trust, empathy. The differences between people lie in their use of these senses; most people don’t know anything about the inner senses while a few people rely on them just as they rely on their physical senses, and in fact probably even more.”
