A Beautiful Place

“To change ourselves effectively, we first had to change our perceptions.”
Stephen R. Covey

At difficult times it is all too easy focus on the negatives. At such times it is important to remember that the world is not out to get us and it does not punish us…..we do that to ourselves.

In your times of hardship learn to try to focus on the opportunities or change the way you look at a situation. Changing your perspective is like changing the window through which you view the world. When you change how you view the world, you change how you feel about it.

We choose our own perspectives. You alone choose them and how they develop. Knowing this we have the power to form our own outlook is very empowering and can provide a great deal of comfort to move forward with.

For example if you have a tendency to be negative, you can actively take steps to focus on the positive and letting go of negativity and negative influences in your life. This will help change our perspective into a more positive, rewarding life.

Part of reformulating any perspective is educating…..Taking classes, reading, traveling, or even just talking to people from different backgrounds can provide new information that will help you change your perspectives.

Begin by opening your eyes to the possibilities, opportunities and the beauty all around you ……create that beautiful place.

“The only way to move forward is to focus on the good in your life and the good that you are doing for others and yourself. My past has shown me things in life, others and myself that I wouldn’t wish upon anyone, but I can choose to pick up the pieces and build a beautiful life for myself and help others to do the same.”
