Disciplined For Success

‘With self-discipline most anything is possible.’
Theodore RooseveltD

Motivation comes and goes however it wants. It might not last to the end of the week, end of the day, or even to the end of reading this blog post. It is fleeting.

Everywhere we go, we see people trying to get motivated to do something, to make a change. But that only leaves them ‘motivated’, it does not move them to action. Motivation alone does not work, we need discipline too.

Motivation is the start, but if it is not solidified into a discipline, it usually fades away into regret pretty quickly once you realise you never acted on it.

Once you have decided you are going to do it you need to decide if it is worth it, making that initial decision can be tough. Ask yourself, how badly do you want it? You will have to sacrifice something at some point. If you want it badly enough, it will be worth it.

To reach your goal, you do not need more inspiration, you do not need more motivation. You need more discipline and you need to start now.

With self discipline you make your long term goal a reality. Ask yourself how much you want it and commit to yourself to start today.

‘We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort.’
Jesse Owens
