We can make all the excuses we want. Maybe the time is not right. Maybe there is too much risk involved. In our head, it seems like what we want to do is too difficult and impossible.

.
The things we want to do are only hard because we trap ourselves in our own thoughts. We invent excuses as to why we ca not do something and by the end of the day, it seems too hard. So we do nothing.

I can not count the number of times where I have let my fear control me. It is ridiculous because I did not even make an attempt. It seemed like the hardest thing in the world and so I didn’t do it.

.
When we get it out of our head, it is not hard at all, but we will not go anywhere by sitting and worrying about it. Get up and take action. When we tell our self it is too hard then we automatically default into failure. How can you expect anything if you do not make the attempt?

Getting started with our biggest task or most difficult action may seem too much and end up in procrastinationland. So instead, start with something small and easy and as the momentum grows move on to bigger things..

I often start by writing a short ‘to-do’ list, after focusing on a plan of action thing do not not seem so difficult. I become in a more of a ‘take action‘ kind of mode.
