‘Open your eyes, look within. Are you satisfied with the life you’re living?’
Bob Marley

.

While the things that bring about contentment or a sense of well-being may be considered subjective, there are certain key elements that are known to impact on life satisfaction.

.
These things include the degree to which our relationships are harmonious, our career fulfilling, our mental and physical health in working order, and our life filled with purpose.

.
Problems in one or more of these areas can have a major impact on whether our life, so far, is to our satisfaction.

.
People are generally happier when they are living a life of meaning. And while we may not want to cast off all of our worldly possessions in search of the true meaning of life, we can get involved in a cause that is important to us with minimal time, effort or cost. While we will be helping others, we will truly receive more than we give. When we make someone happy, we become happy, and then people try to make us happy.

.
The feeling of not having enough freedom to pursue quality time with our friends and family, revitalising solitary activities, or other things that nurture us can leave us feeling stressed and unhappy. If you would like to increase your level of happiness and life satisfaction, one of the best changes you can make is to find more time in your schedule for a life that reflects what you would really like to be doing.

.
How satisfied are you with your life right now? If the answer is negative, then the question changes. How can I improve my life satisfaction?

.
What can you do today to take you a step closer to making a better life.

.
”Give yourself a chance to see how much better life will get. And it will get better.”
Joel Burns
