Nothing is more important than how we feel and think about our self. Self esteem is how you feel about yourself as a person. Too many people base their self esteem on external factors, such as how much money they earn, how much they weigh and whether people like and appreciate them. Real self worth begins with in you.

Building your self-esteem and creating a positive self awareness comes from taking an inventory of your own strengths and abilities as a human being. Being at peace with who you are and what you have to offer the world is a major part of having high self-esteem.

It is good to start with something you can do immediately and easily. When we start with small successes, we build momentum to gain more confidence in our abilities. Each completed task, regardless of how small, is a building block towards a more confident you. What are some small actions you can take immediately to demonstrate that you are capable of achieving goals you have set for yourself? For example, clean your desk, organise your papers, or p,an your week..

People who regularly write down their goals earn nine times as much over their lifetime as people who do not. By setting goals that are clear and actionable, you have a clear target of where you want to be. When we take action towards that goals we  build more confidence and self esteem in our abilities to follow through.

Having a goal alone will not do much. Get clarity on your action items. One of the biggest reasons people get lazy is because they do not have a plan to achieve their goals. They do not know what the next step is and start to wander off randomly. When you are baking a cake, it is a lot easier to follow a set of clear instructions, than randomly throwing ingredients together.

The more discipline you have in getting yourself to take the right actions the more self esteem you will have. As your level of self esteem rises, your happiness and everything you do improves.
