Taking Notice

“Stop and take your time to notice things and make those things you notice matter.
Cecelia Ahern

We so often get caught up in the busyness of our life, loosing connection with the small things around us. During your day make the effort to find something beautiful to notice.

It does not have to be something you see, it could be a scent, perhaps of freshly baked bread wafting out of a bakery, or it could be the sound of the breeze slightly rustling the leaves in the trees, or the way the morning light catches one autumn leaf as it falls gently to the ground. The glint of the sun reflecting of the glass.

Look for these things, and cherish them. For, although it may sound trite, these things are the ‘stuff’ of life. The things we often take for granted. Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realise they were the big things.

Slow down today and notice the things that make life special….the light refracting in a rain drop, the bird song , the smile of a child. The small things make life big.

I still get wildly enthusiastic about little things… I play with leaves. I skip down the street and run against the wind.’
Leo Buscaglia
