Coming Through Hardship

“If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.”

Anne Bradstreet

We all have times in our life that cause us concern stress and worry. Yet we have the choice of how we deal with it.

If we look at our life and focus on the things which are not consistent with our well being. When we try to fight the things that we do not like, we only strengthen their presence in our life, we enhance them.

If in our minds we live in a relationship with our past, this seems to effect and colour our present behaviour. There is no freedom when we stay prisoner to our past and nothing new can emerge from such a state.

Highly resilient people are flexible, adapt to new circumstances quickly, and cope well in constant change. Most importantly, they expect to bounce back and believe they will. They have a knack for creating good luck out of circumstances that many others see as bad luck.

Life is naturally based on well being, when we let it flow and change, we move on. If instead of allowing life to flow, you live in state of resistance, in a state of opposition, we will continue to create more of the situations that we do not like in our life.

Try to embrace the situation you find yourself in now. Remember, what you focus on, you enhance….look for the opportunities in your life today.

‘Whatever you fight, you strengthen, and what you resist, persists’

Eckhart Tolle
