The Best Version Of Yourself

“You are always a valuable, worthwhile human being–not because anybody says so, not because you’re successful, not because you make a lot of money–but because you decide to believe it and for no other reason.”
Wayne W. Dyer

.
I believe everyone wants to become the best version of themselves, yet few of us actually do. We can be self-destructive without realising it, and maybe some are conscious of the fact, but lack the tools and or knowledge to enable them to improve.

.
We all have habits which prevents us from being better. We can begin by identifying and working on these habits.

.
Stop the negative self-talk
“I could never lose 10 kilos”“I’ll look stupid if I try to wear some of those clothes.” “I’m so stupid, I could never do that job.” These are the types of things most people say when suffering from negative self-talk.

.

Self-talk is a normal process we all experience, but once it becomes filled with irrational ideas that are negative and dis-empowering then there is a problem. Silencing the inner critic and putting a positive spin on things are two of the best ways to eliminate negative self-talk. Start by eliminating negative vocabulary, such as always, can’t, never (and ever), won’t, but, should, and try.

.
Stop criticising and judging others
Have you thought about how quick people are to judge and label other people without knowing them and to not thinking twice about it?

.
To become the best version of our self, we need to eliminate all negative energy. When we throw negative energy at people, we are potentially damaging a person’s self-worth and self-esteem.

.
Try to avoid criticising and judging others by not assuming anything know is correct. Remember when you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.

.
People pleasing
Do any of these descriptions sound like you?
I want everyone to like me
I never speak my mind
I never say no (I’m a yes-person)
I’d rather go along with the pack than stand my ground
If any of these describe you, I want you to tell yourself, ‘No more’

.
People pleasers are taken advantage of, prone to stress and depression, develop resentment over time toward people in their lives, and are prone to health issues, such as weight gain. Once you can stop people pleasing, you will regain your sense of who you are and build up confidence.

.
Stop procrastination
Procrastinators sabotage themselves from becoming the best versions of themselves. Procrastinators are sidetracked by insignificant factors that ultimately derail their goals.

.
To stop procrastinating, make you actions precise with a dead line, have some form of accountability established, and set your goals up in a way in which they are small, manageable, and easily achievable. Take one small step today and create momentum, remembering to stay focused.

.
Commit to yourself  to begin today to be the  best version of yourself.

.
“You don’t need to be better than anyone else; you just need to be better than you used to be.”
Wayne W. Dyer
