Feeling The Joy

We define ‘joy’ as a feeling of great pleasure and happiness. I think that is an understatement, it is a vital part of living a healthy, successful life. Taking time to feel joy is the best way to live a more inspired, happy life each day.

Lie down and think – In a new place, a new perspective or in the grass. Seeing life from a new point of view can give you new ideas, inspire you and make you shake off whatever is keeping you from feeling joy. Taking time to find a new spot shows you are ready for joy in your life.

Open yourself emotionally – Connecting with others can be the source of enormous pleasure. The trick is connecting with the right people, the kind who experience joy themselves. Surrounding yourself with other joy seekers vastly improves the nearness of joy in your own life, which makes it that much easier for you to find.

Build your joy belief. No matter how your life has been up until this very moment, despite any mistakes you may have made or actions you now regret, you deserve to feel joy. Understanding and believing this alters everything about who you are and how joyful you feel.

Look around your wondrous world. Notice the colours of the flowers, the sky and the trees. Listen to the sounds of traffic, the bird song and people laughing. Accessing joy is as easy as a simple meditation on the things you love. Choose one thing, focus on it, allow it to become the only thing that exists in this moment. Notice how that feeling of joy creeps up on and then envelops you.
