Nourish Yourself

Recognizing that you are not where you want to be is a starting point to begin changing your life.”
Deborah Day

.
We have all made mistakes throughout our lives that have not exactly put us in the best light – like bullying someone in school or telling what seemed like a little white lie. Chances are, however, you probably felt a little guilt and grew because of the situation.

.
Try to become better in both work and home life. This is an opportunity to nourish yourself, making simple changes and creating a more healthy living. It is so easy to be negative when things go wrong, or blame others for negative outcomes in your life. But in reality, negativity and blame changes nothing for the better.

.
The best time to be positive and take responsibility for your happiness is when you do not feel like it. Because that is when we can make the biggest difference.

.
Taking the time to look inward at what you could have done differently and how you could potentially avoid similar situations in the future can be a healthy exercise. This is not to blame yourself or shame yourself, but simply to give you the opportunity to learn, on a higher level, from your experiences.

.
It is learning to choose the most effective response in a difficult life situation. Learning through experience so you can ultimately live a more rewarding, satisfying life.

.
The key is to realise that no matter what happens, you can choose your attitude. You have the ability to choose one thought over another – to train our minds to see the good, to be positive.

.
Structure and routine are important. But you also might get stuck in a rut. And that means you are not growing, It is important to challenge yourself to take a risk each day, whether it is talking to someone new, asserting yourself, trusting someone, dancing, setting a tough workout goal or anything that pushes you out of your comfort zone.

.
Instead of pointing fingers and making excuses about why you are not happy or successful in your personal or professional life, own your mistakes and learn from them. When we do this, we become a better person.

.
Becoming a better person does not happen overnight, but it is possible. Believe in yourself and know that it is possible. Set the goal  to begin to nourish yourself, starting today.

.

“How would your life be different if…You were conscious about the food you ate, the people you surround yourself with, and the media you watch, listen to, or read? Let today be the day…You pay attention to what you feed your mind, your body, and your life. Create a nourishing environment conducive to your growth and well-being today.”
