“In the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility.”
Eleanor Roosevelt
I do believe that to be successful we need to take responsibility for our own life. With a healthy level of self reliance we do not need to look to others to sort, fix, mend or organise our lives for us. As individuals we are each responsible for the life we have and we alone have created.
.
Self reliance is like a muscle. We can use it or lose it. When we start to be self-reliant on a regular basis, we grow bigger, stronger and able to cope with what ever life demands are put upon us. Self reliance is the single universal quality that truly powerful individual share.
.
Are you dependent on the acceptance of others, do you follow like a sheep? Take a closer look to see if you are making your own decisions, living the life which is right for you.
.
Take responsibility….If you find yourself blaming others, tell yourself that the other person is never the problem. Of course, you can believe the other person is the problem, but then you are reliant on them for the solution. If you believe that they are not the problem, then you look inside yourself for the solution.
.
Look today at improving your self reliance, an independent lifestyle will build more confidence and overall inner peace, Create your own source of built-in happiness. Walk around as a whole, happy person. Then come from this place of wholeness, of self-reliance and independence, and love others. Not because you want them to love you back, not because you want to be needed, but because loving them is an amazing thing to do.
.
If you own your story you get to write the story line…..Look at ways to take greater responsibility for yourself today.

“This is your life. You are responsible for it. You will not live forever. Don’t wait.”
