“As for the journey of life; at some point you will realize that YOU are the driver and you will drive!”
Steve Maraboli

We are human, we all make mistakes, we do things or don’t do things we regret. How do we progress from these situations?

Own your choices and mistakes, and be willing to take the necessary steps to improve upon them. Either you take accountability for your life or someone else will. When they do, you’ll become a slave to their ideas and dreams instead of a pioneer of your own.

You are the only one who can directly control the outcome of your life. And no this is not always be easy. Every person has a collection of obstacles in front of them. But when you become accountable and take responsibility for your situation you are more able to overcome these obstacles. Choosing not to is choosing a lifetime of mere existence.

Until you accept responsibility for your actions or failures, it is be very difficult for you to develop self-respect or even have the respect of others. That is why so many people have self-esteem problems, so often they do not take responsibility for their lives. Instead someone else is blamed for the bad things that happen and a victim mentality is created and empowered.

By taking responsibility for our lives we not only gain control of what happens. It also becomes natural to feel like you deserve more in life as your self-esteem builds and as you do the right thing more consistently. You feel better about yourself.

Begin to take  full accountability for your own life. But how do you take responsibility?……Well, it is simply a choice that you have to make. Make that choice today.

“A sign of wisdom and maturity is when you come to terms with the realization that your decisions cause your rewards and consequences. You are responsible for your life, and your ultimate success depends on the choices you make.”
Denis Waitley
