The Beauty Of Life

You never know what’s around the corner. It could be everything. Or it could be nothing. You keep putting one foot in front of the other, and then one day you look back and you’ve climbed a mountain.’
Tom Hiddleston

All of life is a journey, which paths we take, what we look back on and what we look forward to is up to us. We determine our destination, what kind of road we will take to get there, and how happy we are when we get there.

Sometimes, we reflect on our life and wonder how we came to be at a certain crossroad or exactly how we got where we are now. This can apply to anything in life; career choices, our choices of marriage partners or even the personal decisions we have had to make, the crises we have lived through.

Life is a path; a means of getting from one place to another and made up of individual stones or paces we take one after the other. When we started out on a certain path in our life, we do not have the luxury of seeing where our footsteps will lead us. That is the beauty of living.

Every decision we make along the way leads us to more paths and so on and so on until by the end our life is one continuous string of smaller paths we have taken. All combined to make the final trail.

Is it fate that leads us to veer from the original path we had in mind or is it something called destiny? What ever we call it, there is a certain amount of luck, good and bad and most importantly personal choice.

Life’s true gift lies in your freedom to design it beautifully. With each rise of the sun, you get to chase the opportunity to fill your days with meaning – to live your life the way you choose.

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”
Maya Angelou
