Self empowerment is the belief that you have the ability to control the course of your life. People who do not feel empowered may have low self-esteem, feel unmotivated to go after goals and stop working toward happiness in their lives.

.

We can empower our self by;

Building self appreciation. Self esteem which is based on external achievements does not last. Begin by taking a personal inventory of your strengths and good qualities. Often, what we dislike about ourselves, blinds us to our great attributes. Become aware of yours by looking for them and writing them down just to impress yourself. Read it often to let them sink-in to your consciousness to help you value yourself more. Like any skill, self-appreciation needs regular practice.

.

Be consciously kinder to yourself. The more you do for you, the better you will feel. It helps you focus on you and believe that you deserve good. Give yourself a rest when you are tired. Remember to pamper yourself, take a long, hot bath and relax. Self kindness can blossom into self love from which self empowerment can grow.

.

Practice good posture. Standing tall is a good habit. Straightening your stance feels better physically, standing straight, shoulders back and holding my head high. Make eye contact.Your stance makes a statement. People will buy a confident image if you create good habits. Good posture can make you look and feel more powerful.

.

No one is born feeling self-empowered, it is developed. Remember, we are essentially who we create our self to be and all that occurs in our life is the result of our own making. Start to enhance your hand in life by taking better care of yourself, beginning today.

.

‘Each player must accept the cards life deals him or her. But once they are in hand, he or she alone must decide how to play the cards in order to win the game.’’
Voltaire
