Letting The Walls Down

‘Scarcity of self value cannot be remedied by money, recognition, affection, attention or influence.”
Gary Zukav

So often we struggle to know, embrace, and accept ourselves, with all of our faults and imperfections. For many people self-acceptance is hard to come by on a good day. It is tenuous, a glass with tiny cracks, at best. On a bad day, when you have made a mistake or two, do not like how you look or feel absolutely miserable, your self-acceptance is in shreds.

.
When we have the courage to let the walls down – to know and embrace ourselves, despite our human failings, we also open the door to connecting in a more caring, emphatic, intimate way with the ones we love and with all living beings. Within all of us is a need for love and wholeness. A place where our inner energy and strength is awaken and transforms us.

.
You become powerful when you believe in yourself – when you know that you are capable of anything you put your mind to. You are unstoppable when you let your mistakes educate you, as your confidence builds from experiences – when you know you can fall down, pick yourself up, and move forward.

.
Sometimes we have to stop worrying, wondering, and doubting. Have faith that things will work out, maybe not exactly how you planned, but just how it is meant to be.

.
Rather than comparing yourself to others, focus on your own personal goals. Do not judge another’s path that may be wholly different from your own. Jealously and insecurity only injure the soul. Foster your spirit with confidence and grace, because the only comparison that truly matters… is of who you are versus who you hope to become.

.
Remember, within all of us is a deep longing for love and wholeness. ….Sometimes all we can do is to be there for ourselves. Begin by taking good care of yourself, healthy eating, regular exercise and plenty of sleep.

.
Remember that you are great in your own right. You have all the possibilities you are willing to hold. Keep that child that grew up chasing dreams and butterflies alive, believe in yourself. Keep your head high and walk with the knowledge of who you are.

.
When we have the courage to let the walls down – to know and embrace ourselves, despite our human failings, we also open the door to connecting in a more caring, emphatic, intimate way with the ones we love and with all living beings. Look today to value yourself and take yourself forward with self acceptance and choosing to build onto your self respect.

”Our self-respect tracks our choices. Every time we act in harmony with our authentic self and our heart, we earn our respect. It is that simple. Every choice matters.”
Dan Coppersmith
