“Sometimes the hardest part of the journey is believing you’re worthy of the trip.”
Glenn Beck

.
When it comes to your relationship with yourself, you can be your own best friend or biggest enemy. It does not matter how many people you know. You will always be in attendance, making it the most important one on the list.

.
I often see that the biggest struggle in life is the struggle to know, embrace ourselves. Try to make sure you practice better self care every day – exercise, eating well or getting a good night’s sleep. People who value themselves take care of themselves.

.
Take time to connect in with your needs, feelings, and desires every day. People who value themselves know what their ‘interior world’ feels like.

.
Getting into the habit of valuing yourself helps to build self-esteem and self worth, and both are going to help to protect you against the emotional challenges that fall into most lives from time to time. By taking small steps to make a big difference quite quickly because we all have it in us.

.
You hold the power to respond to events and circumstances not based on those events and circumstances but rather based on internal sources and resources that are a reflection of your true value.

.
It is therefore important to recognise your true value regardless of your earnings, job, possessions, social status, relationship status, etc. Your true value is no longer measured by these things. It comes from an internal measure that you have set for yourself. And that is where true personal power comes from.

.
Because self worth ultimately comes from within, the value you place on yourself is the only type of worth you can control. You determine how outside factors influence your inner sense of value.

.
Remember, you alone are the most significant factor in how you feel about yourself, about your life, and about your circumstances. And that is essentially where your personal power comes from.

.

Take yourself forward today remembering the words of Ralph Emerson…..”What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”
.
“There is nothing so rewarding as to make people realize that they are worthwhile in this world.”
Bob Anderson
