Self Limitations

We all have fears, make sure they’re not holding you back from living a passion-filled, purposeful life.

Do you give it your all in life? At everything you do?

Do you love openly and fully in your relationships…or do you hold yourself back out of a fear being hurt?

Most people hold themselves back in some way, in some aspect of life, whether they know it or not.

There are many ways we hold our selves back, here is one way;

They won’t like me!

Are you holding yourself back at key moments in life just because you fear being rejected? You might want to ask yourself why. Often a fear of being rejected stems from a tiny lack of self-confidence.

Solution: Don’t look to other people to validate you, your thoughts, or actions. Go for what you want and realize that if you’re “rejected” that’s just God or the lawfully-driven universe telling you that there’s a better, more constructive way for you to achieve your goals…you just haven’t found it yet. Whatever you do, don’t give up. Think of rejection as a merge left or merge right sign, not stop sign.

The truth is you get out of life what you put into it. If you are holding back because of fear, you’ll get less satisfying results just because you are afraid of being hurt . You may feel safe and comfortable where you are but in order to move ahead, it means leaving your comfort zone and sailing into uncharted waters. Our best life is one lived with risk, so let yourself go.

‘Only you can hold yourself back, only you can stand in your own way. Only you can help yourself.’

Strabo, Mikhail

  1. Thank you for this post. I stopped holding myself back when I realized that no matter who the person is and no matter what they do, some will like it and some won’t, so I might as well be me and whole-heartedly embrace my passions. If nothing else, I owe it to myself and to those who would gain from experiencing them.
