“Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it’s always your choice”
Wayne Dyer

.
There are times when we feel uninspired and over awed by life, we procrastinate on our plans. Often when I have been in a slump I have discovered that it is because I am trying  to achieve too many things at the same time.

.
One of the most common mistakes people make is that they try to take on too much, try to accomplish too many goals at once. We cannot maintain our energy and focus (the two most important things in accomplishing a goal) if we are trying to do two or more important goals at once.

.
Choose one important goal, for now, and focus on it completely. I know, that can be hard. You can always do your other goals when you have accomplished your one goal.

.
When you have goal to accomplish start by setting a date in the future – in a day or later in the week, – and make that your start date. Mark it on the calendar. you get excited about that date In the meantime, start writing out a plan. By preparing your start, you are building anticipation, and increasing your focus and energy for your goal.

.
‘Most people have no idea of the giant capacity we can immediately command when we focus all of our resources on mastering a single area of our lives.’
Anthony Robbins

  1. Thank you. You have illuminated my problem. I’m trying to achieve too many things at once. I will choose the most important and focus all my energies on it. I have been becoming depressed because I am failing to achieve my goals, but now I feel hopeful again.
I’ve not been on the blog for 3 years, glad I had a sudden need to check in.

    1. Hi… It is all too easy to ‘bite off more than we can chew’. i find that focusing on one goal at a time is by far the most successful way to achieve our goals. Thanks for following me again! Julia

      1. I gave up the blog because life got busy when I retired. I was excited to be free and set several goals, but I have failed to achieve any of them so far and I have been rather down about it, so motivation went. I’m going to take your advice. I start on Goal 1 tomorrow. Wish me Luck!
