You Choose

In everything you do you make a difference, but its up to you to decide what of difference you make.”

Lately I have had to deal with a lot of changes happening in my personal life. At first, describing them to my friends, I kept calling them endings, but afterwards I began to feel as if it was a process of renewal. There is a Chinese saying that goes ‘if the old doesn’t go, the new cannot come’. Keeping that in mind, I have begun to view these difficult events as a shedding of things for me to grow to move forward.

If you view every challenge as an educational task and ask your self:  “What is this situation meant to teach me?” Every situation in our lives has a lesson to teach us. Some of these lessons include: To become stronger. To communicate more clearly. To trust your instincts. To express your love. To forgive. To know when to let go. To try something new.

We can go through life as a victim, blaming others for our misfortunes, and experiencing frustration over our condition. Or you can choose to be active and make changes.
If what you are doing is not working, have a rethink….. do things differently from what you have been doing. If you find yourself stuck in a rut, you are stuck because you are doing the same things over and over again in that same way.

If you need to make a change, challenge yourself to do one thing differently. A small shift can create a different result, and little shifts build on to create bigger shifts in time.

The past does not equal the future. The future can be so much better. Look at the past and learn from it, and then decide to do better. Decide to make a difference. Commit to yourself to take small steps to change your life for the better, starting today.

”The amazing thing about life is that you choose what you allow into it. You choose how things affect you. You choose how you react. You Choose to do better. Make it.”
